Users can now personalize their Home Screen by arranging apps and widgets freely, customize Lock Screen buttons, and access additional controls in Control Center with ease. The Photos app now offers a streamlined view of photo libraries and convenient collections for quick access to favorites. Mail simplifies inbox organization using on-device intelligence, while iMessage introduces new text effects. With Messages over satellite, users can stay connected even without cellular or Wi-Fi. iOS 18 also introduces Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system integrated deeply into iOS, iPadOS, and macOS Sequoia, leveraging Apple silicon for language understanding, image creation, and personalized task assistance—all while prioritizing privacy.
